Dr. Kothary was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in the US and India. After receiving her M.D. degree from the PDR Medical College in 1993, she undertook her medical residency in India’s leading hospital for women’s care. Upon moving to the United States, she completed one year of Family Practice residency followed by four years of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed part of her residency and graduated from St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, part of the Columbia University Hospital System in New York.

Dr. Kothary has worked in the Arlington area since 2003, previously at Ob-Gyn, PC and continues her clinical work with Virginia Hospital Center. She lives in Washington D.C. and is founder of Arlington Ob-Gyn. Her areas of interest include high-risk pregnancy and women’s counseling.

Dr. Kothary is married and has one daughter. Her interests include photography, scuba diving, foreign travel and spending time with her family.
